Slatwall panel is also called: slot board, slotboard, slat wall, slot wall, slat board, display wall, and groove wall. It is always made of melamine MDF (one side or two sides in plain color or wood grain) , sometimes painted or plain MDF. It is a panel wall material widely used in supermarkets or retail stores to display products and commodities. It has routed grooves (or slots) to allow for placement of accessories. It is always used with faceout arms for exhibit of shirts, jeans, skirts, purses, belts, or other garments. Aluminum groove inserts are also used to strengthen it for display of heavy items. The size and measurement of the groove in it is always standardized and shaped like the letter “T”, so that most of the accessories can be fit into it. Generally, slot boards have two grooving styles, one is horizontal (standard, the groove is 2440mm long), the other is vertical (the groove is 1220mm long, but you get more grooves). |
